When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.1

I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil.1 – My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. It is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.1

Learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: so likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. … Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.2

Thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.1

I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.1

The wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest. … There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.1

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.2 – Rest in the Lord.3 – He that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works.4

Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. The Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.1 – Unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.2
