Without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh.1 – The bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.2
Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. … If any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. … My flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.3
The children of Israel … gathered, some more, some less. … He that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack. … They gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating.4
Take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? … Your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.5

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night. … He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust.1 – Even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings.2 – He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.3
I will abide in thy tabernacle forever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings.4 – The darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.5
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?6 – Ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.7 – I will trust, and not be afraid.8

God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.1 – He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.2 – As the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. … As the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.3
To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.4 – In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.5
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom. … Length of days is in her right hand. … She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.6 – Christ Jesus, … is made unto us wisdom.7

This is not your rest: … it is polluted, it shall destroy you.1 – Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.2 – If riches increase, set not your heart upon them.3 – Set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God; arise therefore.4
Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.5 – Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.6
While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.7 – Yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.8 – Now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.9 – Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.10

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.1 – His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.2
The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.3 – Whether … the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours.4 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.5
I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.6 – Godliness with contentment is great gain.7 – My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.8

I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.1 – The Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.2 – Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.3
Is any merry? let him sing psalms.4 – Be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things.5 – Singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.6
At midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.7 – Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.8

The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.1 – He that watereth shall be watered.2
My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh the harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.3 – The kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire laborers into his vineyard. And when he had agreed with the laborers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.4
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season.5 – Occupy till I come.6
I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.7

Thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee.1 – Even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you.2
As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: so the Lord alone did lead him.3 – He bare them, and carried them all the days of old.4
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.5 – For I am persuaded, that neither … height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.6
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.7

Behold, a greater than Solomon is here.1 – The Prince of Peace.2
Scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.3 – Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.4 – The love of Christ, which passeth knowledge.5
Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.6 – In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.7 – The unsearchable riches of Christ.8 – Of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.9

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool.1
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.2 – Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.3
If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, … saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.4
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.5
