Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord.1

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.1 – What shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?2

The Amen, … the beginning of the creation of God.1 – The beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the pre-eminence.2

I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.1

When the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised them up a deliverer, Ehud, … a man lefthanded. … After him was Shamgar, … which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel.1

God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.1 – As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.2

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.3 – The Father … hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.4
