There is one body, and one Spirit.1 – Through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; in whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: in whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.2
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments.3
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently.4

Peter followed him afar off.1 – Among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.2 – The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.3
Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.4 – A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench.5 – Faith as a grain of mustard seed.6
God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord.7 – Little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.8 – Whosoever … shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.9

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.1 – The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.2 – The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.3
Unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.4 – He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?5

Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.1 – There was given to me a thorn in the flesh. … For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities.2
I poured out my complaint before him; I showed before him my trouble.3 – Hannah … was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore. And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and … wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life. … The Lord remembered her.4
We know not what we should pray for as we ought.5 – He shall choose our inheritance for us.6

When I am weak, then am I strong.1
Asa cried unto the Lord his God, and said, Lord, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O Lord our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O Lord, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.2 – Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him.3
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.4 – There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.5
We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God.6

The heavens are not clean in his sight. How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?1 – Yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. How much less man, that is a worm?2
Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness?3 – Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts.4
As he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.5 – Partakers of his holiness.6
The temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.7 – What manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, … without spot, and blameless?8
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying. … And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.9

Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.1 – I will teach you the good and the right way.2 – I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.3 – Follow me.4
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.5 – Wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.6
An highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.7 – Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord.8
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.9

Have faith in God. … Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.1 – Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.2
He that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead.3 – Being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.4
Is anything too hard for the Lord?5 – With God all things are possible.6 – Lord, increase our faith.7

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him. … And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. … Pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.1
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.2
Without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers.3 – Always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.4

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.1
The fruit of the Spirit is love.2
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.3 – Whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected.4
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.5 – God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.6 – God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.7
