He brought me up … out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.1 – The Son of God, … loved me, and gave himself for me.2 – He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?3 – God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.4
Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.5 – Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.6
God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.7

I beseech thee, show me thy glory. … And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.1 – No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.2
Every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.3 – I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh.4
I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: and though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God.5 – I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.6 – We shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.7 – The Lord himself shall descend from heaven … the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.8

In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them.1 – He whom thou lovest is sick.2 – My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.3 – I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.4
We faint not; … though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.5
In him we live, and move, and have our being.6 – He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.7 – The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.8

This is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.1 – I will go in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.2
His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor.3 – O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.4
The mighty God, The everlasting Father.5 – I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.6
The Prince of Peace.7 – He is our peace.8 – Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.9
The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.10 – Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help. … As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.11

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.1 – Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am he.2
Sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ.3
The very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.4 – He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.5 – Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?6 – The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me.7
It is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.8

Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all under-standing, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.1
When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path.2 – He knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.3 – Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.4 – Thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat.5
Who is a rock save our God?6 – They shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.7 – Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.8 – Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil.9

The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?1 – We had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us.2 – The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.3
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.4 – Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men.5
Be instant in season, out of season.6 – Others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire.7
Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.8 – Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.9

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.1 – The Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith.2
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.3
Of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.4 – Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching.5 – Looking for that blessed hope, … the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ.6

Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.1
Behold, a greater than Solomon is here.2 – Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.3 – My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places; when it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.4
He is our peace.5 – This man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land.6
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings.7
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you.8

Men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.1 – Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.2
Darkness hath blinded his eyes.3 – Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.4
The dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.5 – Love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.6
The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. … The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.7
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.8
Ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.9
