No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.1 – The brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person.2 – The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.3
Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies’ sake. Let me not be ashamed, O Lord; for I have called upon thee.4 – Lord, by thy favor thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.5 – Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.6
The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.7
Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.8

The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.1 – Thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.2
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. … The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.3 – I the Lord do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.4
Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me. … While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept.5
The Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.6

God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering.1
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear.2 – There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.3
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God.4 – Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; to deliver their soul from death.5
My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.6 – He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.7 – The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.8

Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; … then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, … for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth.1
Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.2 – They got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favor unto them.3 – There be many that say, Who will show us any good? Lord, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.4

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger forever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.1
For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.2 – I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.3
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.4 – The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.5

This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.1
Thou shalt be called Hephzibah, … for the Lord delighteth in thee, … and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.2 – He hath sent me … to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.3
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, … as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.4
I will betroth thee unto me forever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in loving-kindness, and in mercies.5
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?6

The Lord your God … went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to show you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.1 – As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: so the Lord alone did lead him.2 – The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.3 – Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.4 – For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.5 – We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.6 – With us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles.7
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy.8

Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God.1 – Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle forever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings.2 – Thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm.3
Christ … suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously.4

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.1 – Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.2
We walk by faith, not by sight.3 – We faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.4 – An inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.5

Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.1
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.2 – Thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.3
If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.4
