Fear thou not, … saith the Lord: for I am with thee; … I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure.1 – For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer. … For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.2
I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.3

Our Savior Jesus Christ … hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.1 – He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.2 – When this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.3
God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.4 – Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.5

Blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.1 – Ye are the salt of the earth: … the light of the world.2 – Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.3
I also withheld thee from sinning against me.4
The Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.5 – So did not I, because of the fear of God.6 – Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father.7 – Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.8

The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.1 – We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.2 – I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing.3
Ye are washed, … ye are sanctified, … ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.4 – The king’s daughter is all glorious within.5 – Perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord God.6
Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us.7
These are they which … have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.8 – A glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but … holy and without blemish.9 – Ye are complete in him.10

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.1 – Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord.2
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.3 – We all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.4 – When that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. … For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.5 – Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.6

If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.1 – If ye … being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?2 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.3 – Ye have not, because ye ask not.4
When … the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.5
They rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.6

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.1 – I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.2 – My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.3
I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.4 – As a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.5 – Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.6 – Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.7
I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.8

As ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.1 – I beseech you, … brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.2
If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.3 – In Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy.4 – This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind.5 – Ye have not so learned Christ; if so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: … put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.6

Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.1 – I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.2 – We are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God; from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.3 – Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.4
I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.5 – Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.6

Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.1
If ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear.2 – The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him … in truth. He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.3
Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the Lord, … and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the Lord.4 – To this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.5 – The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.6
