A Christmas Present for God

The following touching letter has reached me: —
“Dear Sir, ― I and my sister are living together, as our husbands are away in France, and at the Front. We were talking about Christmas the other evening, as to whom we could give presents, and we had been reading your book, “A Message from God.” We read there of the need for funds to send out parcels of Testaments and books for the soldiers, and I said to my sister, “Why not give God a Christmas present?” She replied, “The same thought has just crossed my mind,” so we are sending you five shillings each. My little daughter is nearly seven, and she heard us talking, and asked if she might send her weekly money — being sixpence — to the soldiers. So I am enclosing a ten-shilling note and sixpence in stamps, trusting God will use them for His own honor and glory, and I trust you will be greatly blessed in your good work. It is a time when all ought to be up and doing. — Yours, F. B—.”
