1. Father of Jedidah and grandfather of Josiah, king of Judah (2 Kings 22:1¹Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath. (2 Kings 22:1)).

2. Son of Ethan, a Gershonite (1 Chron. 6:41⁴¹The son of Ethni, the son of Zerah, the son of Adaiah, (1 Chronicles 6:41)).
