The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handywork.1 – By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. … For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.2 – Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.4
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; what is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?5

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth.1 – The letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.2
Christ … loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing.3
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. … Thy word hath quickened me. … Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. … I will not forget thy word. … I trust in thy word. … The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. … I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me. … How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.4

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.1
Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee.2 – He hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.3 – Is any among you afflicted? let him pray.4
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.5 – Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. … Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?6 – Be not faithless, but believing.7 – Lo, I am with you alway.8

Without faith it is impossible to please him.1 – So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.2 – The Lord taketh pleasure in his people.3
This is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. … If, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.4 – The ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, … is in the sight of God of great price.5
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I show the salvation of God.6 – I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.7
I beseech you … brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.8

A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief.1 – We have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities.2 – It became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.3 – Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered.4
I was not rebellious, neither turned away back. I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.5
Behold how he loved.6 – He took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. … In all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.7

Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.1 – If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.2
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.3
Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.4 – I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey.5 – The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.6
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.7 – Every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.8 – Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.9

A new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us.1 – Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.2 – By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.3
Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory.4 – Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.5 – Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.6 – I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, … cried … saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.7

Able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.1
Able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.2
Able to succor them that are tempted.3
Able … to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.4
Able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.5
Able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.6
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.7
Believe ye that I am able to do this? … Yea, Lord. … According to your faith be it unto you.8

All his saints are in thy hand.1 – The word of the Lord came unto [Elijah], saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. … And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.2
Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. … Your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.3
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.4 – Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.5

He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; … the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. … For the transgression of my people was he stricken. … It pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief.1
Jesus our Lord … was delivered for our offences.2 – Christ … hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God.3 – Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.4
He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.5
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us.6
