God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power.1 – It pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell.2 – Of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.3
Thou anointest my head with oil.4 – The anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.5
The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.6
The Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.7

Forasmuch … as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same.1 – The man that is my fellow, saith the Lord of hosts.2 – I and my Father are one.3
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.4 – There shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.5 – The Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.6
When my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.7 – Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble.8 – Thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.9

Peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come.1 – The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.2
Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.3 – Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.4
The Comforter … even the Spirit of truth.5 – The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace.6 – The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.7
My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us?8

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.1
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.2 – He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.3
He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.4 – I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.5
How excellent is thy loving-kindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.6

Not every one that saith, … Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.1 – Holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.2 – Add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.3
By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.4

I saw … the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: … And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.1 – These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.2 – Upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness … of a man above upon it. … As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord.3
I beseech thee, show me thy glory. … And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.4 – No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.5 – God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.6

Thus saith the Lord that created thee, … Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.1 – Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.2
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.3 – My delights were with the sons of men.4 – The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.5 – They shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.6
You, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.7

Ye cannot serve God and Mammon.1 – When ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.2
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.3
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honor.4 – Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.5
O Lord our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.6 – I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.7

Both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.1 – In Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.2 – Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.3 – Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.4
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.5 – My meat is to do the will of him that sent me.6
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.7 – Whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.8

Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.1 – He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.2 – His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.3
Your life is hid with Christ in God.4 – He that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.5 – Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord. … The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.6 – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear.7
Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.8 – Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.9 – I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.10
