I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.1 – I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.2 – Those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost.3
The Lord taketh pleasure in his people.4 – My delights were with the sons of men.5 – His great love wherewith he loved us.6 – Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.7
Ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.8 – Whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.9

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. … The Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.1 – Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.2 – In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.3
He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.4 – Our sufficiency is of God.5
Lead us not into temptation.6 – O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.7 – My times are in thy hand.8

Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, … and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Savior and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.1 – Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.2
We have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.3 – In that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor them that are tempted.4 – The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.5

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.1
It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord.2 – If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.3 – I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.4
Consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.5
Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.6 – Forasmuch … as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind.7

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.1 – We are all as an unclean thing.2 – I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.3
As many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.4 – Ye have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.5 – Not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but … the righteousness which is of God by faith.6
Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him.7 – The fine linen is the righteousness of saints.8 – I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness.9

I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight.1
And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.2 – I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.3 – Your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.4 – God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.5 – That he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.6
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean.7 – They shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.8
This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood.9

In the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.1 – We have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.2
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.3 – My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.4

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.1 – Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.2 – A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.3 – By thy words thou shalt be justified.4 – The tongue of the wise is health.5
They that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.6
If thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth.7 – Therefore, as ye abound in everything, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, … see that ye abound in this grace also.8

God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.1
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.2 – He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?3 – The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.4
We love him, because he first loved us.5
Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.6

As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you.1 – They brought young children to him, that he should touch them. … And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.2 – Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.3 – An high priest … touched with the feeling of our infirmities.4 – In his love and in his pity he redeemed them.5
I will not leave you comfortless [margin: orphans]: I will come to you.6 – Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.7
The Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.8
