Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.1 – David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.2 – God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.3 – I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, … and am come down to deliver them. … He brought them out, after that he had showed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.4 – There failed not ought of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.5
He is faithful that promised.6 – Hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?7 – Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.8 – The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever.9

Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel.1 – The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.2 – Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.3
The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. … The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.4 – The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.5 – So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.6 – For who is God save the Lord? or who is a rock save our God? It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.7
By the grace of God I am what I am.8

God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering.1 – Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.2 – We are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.3 – A ransom for many.4
No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.5 – I will love them freely.6 – The Son of God … loved me, and gave himself for me.7
He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.8 – He hath made us accepted in the beloved.9

My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.1
The Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved forever.2 – The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.3
The just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.4 – If they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.5
If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.6 – He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.7 – Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.8 – Hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.9 – He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life.10

Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing.1 – Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.2 – Hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.3
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.4 – The grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.5

The veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.1 – Christ … hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God.2 – The way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing.3
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.4
No man cometh unto the Father, but by me.5 – Through him we … have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God.6 – Having … boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh.7 – We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.8

[Moses] stood between the Lord and you at that time, to show you the word of the Lord: for ye were afraid.1 – There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.2
Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.3 – Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.4 – Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.5
Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; but Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.6

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.1 – Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.2
Ye are a … royal priesthood, … that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.3 – Ye … as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.4 – By him … let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.5
My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.6

I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.1 – Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off. I called upon thy name, O Lord, out of the low dungeon. Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry. Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.2
Will the Lord cast off forever? and will he be favorable no more? Is his mercy clean gone forever? doth his promise fail forevermore? Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? … And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High. I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.3 – I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.4

I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins.1 – I have laid help upon one that is mighty.2 – The Lord … thy Savior and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.3 – Mighty to save.4 – Able to keep you from falling.5 – Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.6
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.7 – He is able … to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him.8
Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem?9
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? … I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.10
