Zacharias had been dumb: no blessing could escape his lips, either Godward or manward. Jesus went up on high to assume His priestly office in the fullness of blessing for His people; and He left behind those who proved to be the nucleus of the new priestly race, and already they were blessing God and worshipping Him. This Gospel has indeed carried us from law to grace and from earth to heaven. (Luke 24 by F.B. Hole)
