The Hebrew day, from sunset to sunset, embraced the entire night

(Gen. 1:5⁵And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. (Genesis 1:5)). The period of Christ’s rejection, which is far spent, and the “day” at hand (Rom. 13:12¹²The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
