The oldest MSS. have "rejoice," but the T. R. and many other MSS. have "will rejoice." In the RV "rejoice" without "shall" stands on good authority, but not so "make merry," though in the best copies, still less "send," where even the Revisers give the future.

"Shall send" is supported by very many, and good MSS. See previous note to verse 10.
