The Prophet

The Lord Jesus was emphatically “the prophet of God,” whose coming was foretold in Deuteronomy 18:15, 1815The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; (Deuteronomy 18:15)
18I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. (Deuteronomy 18:18). When on earth He said that the works which He did, and the words that He spoke, were not from Himself, but were what He had seen and heard of His Father (John 14:10, 2410Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
