Greatness
“God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us” (Ephesians 2:4).
The greatness of our God is seen
In all creation’s power;
The planets, stars, the universe
Give witness every hour.
The greatness of His love is seen,
In giving Jesus Christ,
The Son He loved, eternal One,
Great gift of love, unpriced.
The greatness of His grace is known,
In full salvation seen:
The death of Christ, the blood He shed
Has cleansed, and made us clean.
The greatness of our God is felt,
In daily, hourly might;
Much greater than creation’s power,
Strength for the Christian fight.
