His Beauties
Here are some scriptures that bring before us the beauties, glories and loveliness of the person of Christ:
“Thou art fairer than the children of men:
grace is poured into Thy lips” (Psalm 45:2).
“My beloved is white and ruddy, the chiefest among
ten thousand … His countenance is … excellent …
He is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this
is my friend” (Song of Solomon 5:10,15-16).
“And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne
and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God
sent forth into all the earth” (Revelation 5:6).
“I Jesus … am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star” (Revelation 22:16).
See if you can add to the list today. To read and meditate on such verses will give you a fresh appreciation and delight in the Lord Jesus Christ. It will also deepen your love for Him and increase your value and estimation of His person and work.
