P r ayer is the expression of D ependance and C onfidence. When I pray I am really telling the Lord that I am not able for the situation — that is dependance! But I am also expressing my trust, and owning that He is able — that is confidence! So, we read, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Philippians 4:6).
When we take everything to the Lord in prayer with the proper attitude and unwavering trust, then there will be Perfect S ubmission and the result will be Perfect Peace. So, we further read, “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).
Prayer is certainly a very, very important part of the equation that makes up our spiritual life. It is really the powerhouse of the believer’s day-to-day walk with the Lord. The more prayer, the more power, and the more power, the more fruit and blessing there will be.
