Going Where?
“Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest” (Psalm 55:6).
“We spend our years as a tale that is told … and we fly away” (Psalm 90:9-10).
Where is everyone going? I am sitting at a café in the “A” gate concourse of the Saint Louis, Missouri airport. People are hurrying by on their way to or from their flight. Old and young alike are rushing on their way, I suppose, to many destinations near and far.
But where are they going? I don’t mean, where are they headed at the end of the present trip they are on, or which plane is to take them to which destination, but where are they going when they leave this world. Do they have their “ticket” for that final flight to heaven when the Lord comes? Are they ready to “meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:17)?
Where are you going? The only ticket to heaven is the Lord Jesus Christ, through the work of Calvary, and His blood that washes sins away. I hope every reader has secured that ticket by receiving the Lord as their Savior. If you have, you are ready for that one-way flight to the Father’s House.
