What Manner… “And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of Man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?” (Mark 4:41). The person of Christ, His power, His work, and all that He is, we will never be able to fully enter into. “What manner of Man is this” will continue to be our wonder for all eternity. “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God” (1 John 3:1). His infinite love will also continue to be our wonder, and one of the great themes of our praise and worship, and we will forever echo, “what manner of love!” “What manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness” (2 Peter 3:11). In view of this we ought to behave, today and every day, in a way that shows that we know Christ as Savior and Lord, and that we are the recipients of “His great love wherewith He loved us” (Ephesians 2:4). Though we do not fully grasp all that He is, we can still “Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness” (Psalm 96:9).
