Dear Young Christian,
Back in February, we considered the following verse: “Known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world” (Acts 15:18).
While we still don’t know what the future holds, or what will happen this week, we do know who has full knowledge of what’s ahead, whether in the short term or long term. I recently enjoyed the following quote in this regard: “What a comfort to realize that our unknown future is safe in the hands of our all-knowing [omniscient] God.”
Solomon, no doubt understood something of this when he wrote, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6). We can start out this week with real confidence, knowing that no matter what happens, we know the One who is in full control. There are no surprises to God our Father. Everything is carefully anticipated, calculated and allowed for our good and blessing.
