“Behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be” (Revelation 22:12).

Back in the year 1885, there were seven Christian young men at Cambridge University in England. All were good students, and some of them were good athletes too. They came from wealthy homes, and had a wonderful future ahead of them in this world. But all seven decided to give up their wealth and the good lifestyle they might have had. They went out to China to become missionaries, to carry the good news of the gospel to those who had never heard it before.

One of these young men was named Charles T. Studd, who was probably the best known of the seven men, and who was also a champion cricket player. At some point in his life he wrote a very good poem, which many people still quote today. The last lines of each verse are:

Only one life, ’twill soon be past,

Only what’s done for Christ will last.

This poem has been an encouragement and an inspiration to many Christians. What will you do with your life?
