a
The Edd. read "Father." Some MSS. add "Our...who art in the heavens" (from Matthew).
b
Some MSS. insert "Thy will be done as in heaven, also on the earth." The Edd. omit (from Matthew). Though left out of Luke by excellent authority, it is undoubtedly read in the Gospel of Matthew, because the future kingdom will bring in the earth as well as heaven. Instead of "Thy kingdom come," some read "May thy Holy Spirit come upon us and cleanse us." Such a reading is absolutely unknown to any but the Western text.
