• A saint is a "set apart one" or a "sanctified one"….The text should simply read, "called saints." The truth is that if we are believers on the Lord Jesus Christ, we are saints-and are such by being called by God! It is not something we hope to be, but something that the Word of God says we are by the grace of God. (“Opening Salutations: Romans 1:1-17” by B. Anstey)
