It will be remarked here, that it is the lordship of Christ that is presented in this passage, not His divinity in itself. (Philippians 2 by J.N. Darby)
But there are the things, or if you will, the persons under the earth which can never be delivered. Yet these shall bow, no less than those in heaven, or on earth. In His name all must bow. Thus the difference between reconciliation and subjection is manifest. The lost must bow; the devils must bow; the lake of fire must own the glory of Him who has power to cast them there. (Philippians 2 by W. Kelly)
Over the cross it was written, “This is JESUS”. Men in their scorn said, “Let Him now come down from the cross.” Had He done so, He would have left the Name of JESUS behind Him. He would still have been the Creator, the mighty God, but never more would He have been JESUS — the Savior. (Philippians 2 by H. Smith)

10
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly and earthly and infernal beings,

W. Kelly Translation

+
10
that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly and earthly and infernala [beingsb],

WK Translation Notes

+
a
The groaning or deliverance of creation in {vi 128118}{/vi} is quite another thing, and is not at all the same as "infernal" (katachthoniōn) here, being things that burrow, not the lost infernal beings.
b
Why should we use "things" instead of "beings" when we have the knee and tongue called to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord? Yet is not this very distinct from the personification of universal nature in {vi 116373}{/vi} or elsewhere?
