 In the latter part of the psalm the Lord brings a release to the creation that has suffered under the bondage of corruption on account of sin (Rom 8:20-23). Blind eyes are opened, and those bowed down (Lk. 13:11-13) are healed (vs. 7b-10 JND Translation). (Book 5. by B. Anstey)
 He is a righteous God that executes judgment for the oppressed. He is a bountiful God “who giveth bread to the hungry.” He is a gracious God, who looses the prisoner, opens the eyes of the blind, and raises up them that are bowed down. (Psalms 146 by H. Smith)
 {v.7-8} His tender mercy is brought out for the comfort of those that are in sorrow. The oppressed, the hungry, the prisoners come before Him, are the objects of His care and power; the blind He gives eves to, raises up those that are bowed down.
