Jehovah reigneth; let the earth rejoice,{HR}Let the many islands be glad.

Cloud and darkness [are] around him,{HR}Righteousness and judgment the foundation of his throne.

A fire goeth before him,{HR}And burneth up his foes round about.
4
His lightnings lightened the world;{HR}The earth saw and trembled.

Mountains melted like wax before Jehovah,{HR}Before the Lord of the whole earth.

The heavens declare his righteousness,{HR}And all the peoples see his glory.
7
Ashamed be all that serve graven images,{HR}That boast themselves of idols!{HR}Worship him, all ye gods !

Zion heard and rejoiced,{HR}And Judah’s daughters were glad,{HR}Because of thy judgments, O Jehovah.

For thou, Jehovah, [art] Most High above all the earth,{HR}Thou art exceedingly exalted above all gods.

Lovers of Jehovah, hate evil!{HR}He keepeth the souls of his saints (pious ones),{HR}From the hand of the wicked ones he delivereth them.

Light [is] sown for the righteous one,{HR}And gladness for the upright in heart.

Be glad in Jehovah, ye righteous,{HR}And give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
