Thus saith the Lord God; In the first month, in the first day of the month, thou shalt take a young bullock without blemish, and cleanse the sanctuarya:

In the first month.This seems to enjoin, not a mere dedication, but an annual purification of the sanctuary; of which there is nothing said in the Mosaic law.

Ex. 12:2• ²This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. (Ex. 12:2)
