God has a special disregard for any who try to destroy the faith of another. In the gospels the Lord warned of the drastic consequences to those who offend (or make to sin) a child who trusts in Him. And here in the Old Testament we have a solemn warning to those who turn others aside. We need to build each other up -not tear one another down.
