Just Lot  .  .  .  that righteous man.
As a postscript to the unhappy story of Lot’s life, the Lord has the final say. He records for us that, in spite of what we have seen, Lot was really righteous. Even though he lived and worked in a morally depraved city, Lot was just before God. We will see him in heaven. We read that he vexed his righteous soul every day because of the filthy life-style of the people around him. He maintained his faith in God in the face of the worldliness, but he didn’t enjoy the quiet fellowship and friendship that his uncle Abraham enjoyed with the Lord.
