ACT 8:26-2726And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. 27And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, (Acts 8:26‑27)
And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip saying, Arise, and go. . . unto the way. . . which is desert. And he arose and went.

Philip’s evangelistic outreach in Samaria was going great. Many people were being saved. And then he gets a call from the Lord to go to a desert. No reason given. Just go. He goes. He hitches a ride with a black diplomat from Ethiopia who was just returning from a fruitless trip to Jerusalem in search of spiritual satisfaction. Philip gives him the gospel by preaching from the book of Isaiah, which the man happened to be reading at the time. The man gets saved and then baptized. We don’t know his name, but we will meet him in glory. One person searching for God. God met his need and saved him.
