T. R. with some MSS. add, "but if works, it is no longer grace, otherwise work is no longer work." But I do not see that the clause adds to the precision of the truth; whereas it was natural enough to tack it on, especially as the form in the Vatican copy seems an evident error of adding "grace" in the end of the disputed clause.
