Unspeakable Gift
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning”
(James 1:17).
The other day I was on a plane from Barbados to Saint Vincent, when I noticed a lady a couple of rows in front of me and across the aisle, opening a piece of mail. As she pulled the card from its envelope I couldn’t help but notice the text on the front.
“Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift”
(2 Corinthians 9:15).
I didn’t have opportunity to speak with her, but I thought, What a wonderful greeting card to receive from a friend or relative.
How thankful are we today for God’s wonderful gift of His Son the Lord Jesus Christ? This is the greatest gift that God has ever given to man, and every other gift is a result of the giving of His Son and the work of Calvary.
