Precious

Peter, in His two Epistles uses the word “precious” seven times. They are a nice meditation and I would encourage you to examine and meditate on the following references and also to look up their context in First and Second Peter.

1. “The trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth” (1 Peter 1:7).

2. “The precious blood of Christ” (1 Peter 1:19).

3. “A living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious” (1 Peter 2:4).

4. “Wherefore also it is contained in the Scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a Chief Corner Stone, elect, precious” (1 Peter 2:6).

5. “Unto you therefore which believe He is precious” (1 Peter 2:7).

6. “Like precious faith” (2 Peter 1:1).

7. “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises” (2 Peter 1:4).
