Rejoice Today

“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).

Today? Rejoice TODAY? But things aren’t going well! It’s the middle of the week, things aren’t working out the way I planned. School is rough, work is pressured…on and on it goes. And I am supposed to rejoice?

Yes, we can and certainly should rejoice today. If you know the Lord as your Saviour you have everything to be thankful for! Don’t forget what He has done for you in the past, and remember what He is doing for you now, as well as all that is ahead and waiting for you in heaven.

Remember too, this day may end with us all being called safe home to the Father’s house of joy and uninterrupted happiness. Then it will be the best and happiest day of our lives. The Lord Jesus has promised, “I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:3). That promise may be fulfilled before we go to bed tonight. Learn to say, PERHAPS TODAY! This will help us to “rejoice and be glad in it.”
