Two and twenty. In the parallel passage of Chronicles, it is said, "forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign;" but this is evidently a mistake, as it makes the son two years older than his own father!
For his father began to reign when he was thirty-two years old, and reigned eight years, and so died, being forty years old.
See ver. 17, and the Note on 2 Ch 22:2.one year.
2 R. 9:21‑27• 21Entonces Joram dijo: Unce.

(2 Cr. 22:5‑8)
Athaliah.
daughter.
or, grand-daughter.
His mother was Athaliah, daughter of Omri, a common way of speaking among the Jews; for she was in fact the granddaughter of the head of this dynasty, Omri, the daughter of Ahab, and the wife of Jehoram of Judah (2 Kings 8:18). She was thus the sister of Jehoram of Israel. (Jehoram, King of Judah, and His Son, Ahaziah: 2 Kings 8:16-29 by H.L. Rossier)
