(judgment of God). (1) Fourth of the greater prophets. Carried captive to Babylon, B. C. 604; and named Belteshazzar (Dan. 1-2). Made a governor under Darius (Dan. 6:2²And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage. (Daniel 6:2)). Last vision on the Tigris in third year of Cyrus, B.
