To the chief musician, a Psalm of David.{HR}Until when, O Jehovah? Wilt thou forget me forever?{HR}Until when wilt thou bide thy face from me?
Until when shall I lay up counsels in my soul, grief in my heart daily?{HR}Until when shall mine enemy be lifted up above me?
Behold, answer me, O Jehovah, my God;{HR}Enlighten mine eyes lest I sleep the [sleep of] death.
Lest mine enemies say, I have overcome him,{HR}[And] mine adversaries exult when I am moved.
But I in thy mercy have trusted;{HR}My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation;
I will sing to Jehovah,{HR}For he hath dealt well with me.
