A Song of degrees.This Psalm is probably a complaint of the captives in Babylon, relative to the contempt and cruel usage they received.

• With the blessedness of the house of the Lord and the city of Jerusalem filling the soul (Psa. 122), the godly decide to face the pilgrim journey that leads to the city of God.
