“Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth” (Luke 21:26).
What the Lord Jesus says in this verse will really happen after every true Christian has been called home to be with the Lord. But it seems that in the last few years the Lord has been allowing some events that are giving this world a taste of what will happen in the future. As I write this in 2022, the Covid pandemic is slowing down, but now the war in the Ukraine is creating big problems of a different kind. The prices of everything are going up, and the future is very uncertain. Many people are very afraid, and wonder where it is all going to end. Maybe you have met some people in your life who are afraid, as they see the condition of things in this world.
You and I, who know the Word of God, know where it will end, for God has told us. We should be serious about our life, and be diligent in telling others about the Lord. But there is no reason to be afraid, for the Lord is in full control of all that is happening. He knows just how to arrange things in this world to accomplish His plans.
