“To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you” (2 Corinthians 10:16).
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2).
The Apostle Paul felt the urgency of preaching the gospel. For him, he had before him regions that had never heard the gospel before. In his day, most of the world worshiped idols, and he wanted them all to hear about Christ and His great salvation. He preached the gospel in Asia, and then carried it to Europe.
For you and me today, we need to remember to use every available opportunity, as our verse in 2nd Timothy tells us. We may be called to go to some foreign land for there is still a need for that kind of preaching today. But it may also be simply to look for another chance to tell someone about Christ. The time is short, and the Lord’s coming is near.
