Dear Young Christian:
Some people don’t like Mondays because it starts another school or work week. Some people are already thinking about Friday afternoon when they will be free once more to enjoy another weekend and do what they want.
But the Lord wants us to take one day at a time and enjoy the blessings that He has given for that day. Here are some verses to think about in that regard:
“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).
“As thy days, so shall thy strength be” (Deuteronomy 33:25).
“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23).
Let’s start the week with the joy of the Lord in our hearts, a song on our lips, and a sense of His provision and presence with us. That way we will have a happy week.
