(1 Corinthians 2:16).
Many of us have heard the statement, “The best things in life are free.” There is certainly a lot of truth in that. However, some people think that the best things are expensive or even out of reach of the average person. Another statement I read recently said, “The best things in life are not things.” What a great statement! What we have of greatest value is what we have in the Lord and He Himself is our greatest possession. The best things in life are the eternal riches and the heavenly inheritance that God has provided for us through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ. He has, on the basis of the work of Calvary, freely given us more than we can ever imagine. “Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus…He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things” (Romans 3:24; 8:32)?
