 Angels, men, Israel, the prophets-all were alike in ignorance of it. The assembly (this body united to the Son of God become man and glorified) and the calling of the Gentiles into that unity was hidden from them all. Now that Christ the Head of the assembly, the Head of the body, was glorified, the mystery of this body was made known. (Colossians 1 by J.N. Darby)
 Colossians gives the present aspect of the Mystery, which has to do with the features of Christ being worked out practically in the members of His body, so that the world would see a living demonstration of the union of Christ and the Church.
