Darius commanded that in all his dominions men should tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, because He was the living God, and His kingdom was everlasting. In such a marvelous way did God make the wrath of man to praise Him, and the attempt to quench forever the light of His testimony in Babylon was made the means of kindling it throughout the whole earth.
