 This is the judge of Israel already spoken of. Thus the second verse is unequivocally a parenthetic description of who this judge of Israel is. (Micah 5 by W. Kelly)
 His "goings forth are from of old, from the days of eternity," indicating that He is an eternal Person. This could be none other than the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. (The Prophecies of Micah by B. Anstey)
