Delighting in God.

Commanded. Psa. 37:4⁴Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (Psalm 37:4).

Reconciliation leads to. Job 22:21, 26²¹Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. (Job 22:21)
²⁶For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. (Job 22:26).

Observing the sabbath leads to. Isa. 58:13, 14¹³If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honorable; and shalt honor him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: ¹⁴Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. (Isaiah 58:13‑14).

SAINTS' EXPERIENCE, IN

Communion with God. SoS. 2:3.

The law of God. Psa. 1:2²But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. (Psalm 1:2). Psa. 119:24, 35²⁴Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors. (Psalm 119:24)
³⁵Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight. (Psalm 119:35).

The goodness of God. Neh. 9:25²⁵And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness. (Nehemiah 9:25).

The comforts of God. Psa. 94:19¹⁹In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. (Psalm 94:19).

HYPOCRITES

Pretend to. Isa. 58:2²Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God. (Isaiah 58:2).

In heart despise. Job 27:10¹⁰Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God? (Job 27:10). Jer. 6:10¹⁰To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the Lord is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it. (Jeremiah 6:10).

Promises to. Psa. 37:4⁴Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (Psalm 37:4).

Blessedness of. Psa. 112:1¹Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. (Psalm 112:1).
