walk.
We are light in the Lord. We cannot say we are love, for love is sovereign goodness in God; we walk in it, like Christ. (Ephesians 4-5 by J.N. Darby)
Not one ray of that which He is was found in our will, our desires, our understanding....We are now partakers of the divine nature, we have the same desires, we know what it is that He loves, and we love what He loves, we enjoy that which He enjoys, we are light (poor and weak indeed, yet such by nature) in the Lord—looked at as in Christ. (Ephesians 4-5 by J.N. Darby)
Impossible that the new nature could countenance sin; the very essence of it is rejection and exposure of what is contrary to God. It is sensitive about sin; detects and detests it thoroughly. Hence we are said to be "light in the Lord," and we need to shake off the things of death that encumber the light, and hinder it. (Ephesians 5 by W. Kelly)
Be consistent with what you are, not merely with what you ought to be. We are light, yea, light in the Lord—at once the ground, and character, and measure: let us walk accordingly. (Remarks on Ephesians 5:8-21 by W. Kelly)
