How Many Words in John 3:16?

There are just twenty-five words in John 3:16¹⁶For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) in the King James Version of the Bible. The middle word is “Son.” Then there are two sets of twelve words on either side of the word “Son.”

The twelve words on the left side tell us what God did to provide salvation from sin—”For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten ... ”, and the twelve words on the right side tell us the only way we can have the benefit of it—”That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31³¹And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:31)).
