• The ark of the covenant represented the throne of God in heaven, the holiness and the justice which are there manifested in God. {v.5} It was first of all covered with the veil of the humanity of Christ, such as He was here below in His Person; that is, that divine holiness and righteousness have clothed themselves in humanity.
